Bio

Rebecca Scheer is a professional silversmith living in Portland, Oregon.She has exhibited artwork in venues such as Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Contemporary Crafts Gallery, Velvet daVinci, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Center for the Visual Arts. Her work has been reviewed in Art Week , Metalsmith , and published in two books, Silversmithing and 1000 Rings . Her artwork, “Transitive Implements”, was featured in Metalsmith magazine's “Exhibition in Print, 2005.” While she isn't managing the metals studio and teaching part-time at Oregon College of Art & Craft, she likes to make jewelry that delights the senses.
